Moving into your KUMMUNI apartment is an exciting prospect, but it’s essential to understand the policies and legalities surrounding your move-in date. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you navigate this process.
Moving In Before the Contract Start Date #
Is It Possible?
Unfortunately, moving into your apartment before the official contract start date is not possible. This policy is in place due to several legal and operational reasons:
- Handover Protocol:
Legally, we must complete the handover protocol before you can receive the keys and move into the apartment. This process ensures that both parties agree on the property’s condition at the time of move-in. - Property Examination:
Our team needs adequate time to examine the property thoroughly before your move-in. This includes ensuring that everything is in working order and that the apartment meets our cleanliness standards. - Facility Department Schedule:
Our Facility Department plays a crucial role in preparing your apartment for move-in. They are responsible for repairing, cleaning, and adjusting the furniture upon your request. Due to their pre-planned schedule and the detailed work involved, we cannot expedite or influence this process to accommodate early move-ins. - Rental Payments:
Your rental payments commence from the date your contract starts. Paying extra to move in earlier is not an option within our current operational framework.
Changing the Contract Start Date #
Is It Possible to Change the Starting Date?
If you wish to move in earlier than your originally planned date, changing the contract’s start date may be an option under specific conditions:
- Availability of the Apartment:
The apartment must be available and ready to be handed over. This means that all inspections, repairs, cleanings, and furniture adjustments must be completed. - Official Request:
You must submit an official request to change the starting date. This request should be communicated as early as possible to allow adequate time for processing. - Approval Process:
Our team will review your request and determine if the new start date can be accommodated. If approved, a new contract reflecting the updated start date will be issued. - Rental Payments:
With the new contract, you will be required to pay rent starting from the new, earlier date. - One-Time Change:
Please note that this change can only occur once. Subsequent requests to adjust the start date may not be accommodated.
