To rent an apartment, you will need several documents: 1. Purpose of stay – i.e., an employment agreement, university admission letter 2. Proof of income – i.e., last 3 months of bank account activities, blocked account, etc. 3. Scan of ID card (passport and visa for non-EU citizens) 4. SCHUFA (for residents of Germany more than a year) 5. Mietschuldenfreiheitsbescheinigung (if you have lived in Germany for more than a year) 6. Liability insurance (can be provided within 30 days after move-in) 7. Guarantor’s letter if your income/savings are insufficient.

Is the booking process free?
Currently we offer a free booking process for all properties in Berlin.
Yet, to book a place, you need to pay 500 euros (as portion of your first rent) upfront.
Once paid, we will hold the property for you. If you cancel, our refund policy applies. Please check our refund policy for details.

What is the refund policy?
Our refund policy for the booking:
If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you will receive a 97% refund. (A 3% transaction fee will be borne by the tenant.)
If you cancel after 24 hours, no refund will be issued.

When does my lease start after booking?
Lease starts 15 days after booking, regardless of your move-in date. You can move in anytime, but if it’s beyond the 15-day period, your rental contract still begins from the 16th day of booking.

You will have ample time to pay the deposit for your move-in. We kindly ask that the deposit be paid no later than 72 hours before your move-in date.

No, selecting furniture is free, even if the property is pre-furnished. You can customize some pieces at no cost. Optional upgrades, like a larger TV, adding a PlayStation, or extra furniture, are available for a small monthly fee.
