We understand that sometimes unforeseen financial circumstances can make it difficult to pay your rent on time. While we strive for regular and complete payments, we recognize that occasional difficulties can arise. If you find yourself unable to pay your rent on time, here’s what you should do:
Steps to Take If You Can’t Pay Rent on Time #
- Submit a Ticket Immediately:
If you know that you wonโt be able to pay your rent on time, itโs crucial to inform us as soon as possible. To do this, you need to submit a ticket through the myKUMMUNI app. Follow these steps:- Open the myKUMMUNI App
- Select the Finance Department
- Choose “I’m Currently a Tenant”
- Select “My This Monthโs Rent Might Be Paid with Delay”
- Provide Honest and Acceptable Reasons:
In the ticket, you will need to explain the reasons for the delay in payment. Be honest and transparent, as this will be taken into consideration when we review your request. - Await Decision from Finance Department:
Once you submit the ticket, our finance department will review your request. If this is the first time youโve had difficulty paying rent and you have a good payment history with us, our team will be more inclined to work with you to find a solution.
Important Considerations #
- Avoiding Penalties:
It is crucial to submit your ticket before the rent is due. If you fail to notify us in time and do not submit a ticket, you will receive a Mahnung (reminder notice) and will be required to pay additional fees and penalties. - Decision-Making Process:
Please note that accepting your request is entirely at our discretion. We value honesty and a proactive approach, so providing truthful information will increase the likelihood of receiving support.
Benefits of a Good Payment History #
If you have been a tenant with KUMMUNI for some time and have consistently paid your rent on time, our finance department is more likely to offer you a flexible solution. In this case, you wonโt need to worry about extra costs or penalties, and you can maintain a positive relationship with us, which might also help in extending your lease in the future.
