Handling Electricity Supply Issues #
If you experience a loss of electricity in your KUMMUNI apartment, here’s how to address the situation effectively:
- Ensure There is No Fuse Jump:
- Check Your Fuse Box: Sometimes, a power outage could be due to a tripped fuse in your apartment’s fuse box. Open the fuse box and check if any switches are in the off position. If you find one, flip it back to the on position. This should restore electricity to your apartment. If the fuse trips again immediately, there may be an underlying electrical issue that needs professional attention.
- Check the Entrance Board:
- Maintenance Announcements: Begin by checking the entrance board in your building. If there’s scheduled maintenance or a planned power outage, an announcement should be posted here. The notice will usually provide details on the reason for the power cut and the expected duration.
- No Announcement Found? Here’s What It Could Mean:
- Emergency Shutoff: If there’s no announcement, the electricity may have been shut off due to an emergency, such as an electrical fault or urgent repairs needed to prevent hazards.
- Localized Issue: If it’s not due to an emergency, the power outage could be isolated to your apartment or specific areas of the building. Check with your neighbors to see if they are experiencing the same issue.
Reporting the Electricity Issue #
If there’s no maintenance announcement and the electricity issue persists, you should report the problem using the myKUMMUNI app:
- Open the myKUMMUNI App:
Log in to the myKUMMUNI app on your device. - Select the Facility Department:
Navigate to the facility department within the app. - Select “Electricity Supply Issue”:
Choose the option related to electricity problems. - Provide Necessary Details:
Include relevant details, such as whether the outage is affecting your entire apartment or just certain areas, and whether your neighbors are also without power. - Submit Your Ticket:
Submit the ticket, and our facility team will investigate and work to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
